Here at GVP Studios, we believe every member of the family deserves to be celebrated—especially our furry friends! That's why we're so excited to offer our special dog "barkday" birthday sessions. It's the perfect way to capture your pup's unique personality and celebrate another year of unconditional love.

This month, we had a very special birthday celebration of our own! Our beloved studio mascot, Beasley, turned six. We celebrated in style with some fabulous new swag from our amazing dog-loving neighbors and, of course, a delicious pumpkin-peanut butter birthday cake. It was a day filled with belly rubs, treats, and lots of photos to commemorate the occasion!

Our corner of Midtown Sacramento is a true haven for dog lovers, with some of the best dog businesses all within a four-block radius. We've even put together the perfect plan to make a full day of your pup's birthday celebration before their big photo shoot.

The Ultimate Midtown "Barkday" Itinerary:

Start with a Spa Day: Get your pup looking their absolute best with a full bath at Splash Hound USA Pet Supply & Dog Wash. A clean dog is a happy dog, and they'll be ready for their close-up.
Accessorize for the Occasion: Head over to our Midtown neighbors, Leash and Collar, for all the specialty props and accessories you'll need to make your dog's birthday session extra special. They have the perfect bow, collar, and birthday hat to make your pup shine. Plus, they can provide the birthday cake, so you'll be all set for the celebration!
Burn Off Some Energy: Before heading to the studio, let your dog get out some zoomies at Truitt Bark Park. It's located right across the street from Leash and Collar on Q Street and is the perfect place for your pup to work out some energy before it's time to pose.
Time for the Photo Shoot! Walk a couple of blocks from the park to our studio, where we'll be waiting to capture your dog's one-of-a-kind personality. With all the props and a fresh-from-the-bath look, your dog is ready for their moment in the spotlight!
