why take dog photos in the best sacramento portrait studio?
Dog portraits are our favorite sessions, tied with six month old babies. Just. Pure. Joy.
We are animal lovers and believe that you should have huge framed artwork of your furry friends at your home entry, on your phone screensaver, themed for each holiday. Period. End of rant.
Don’t think your pup will travel to the studio? We offer in-home mobile studio setup (indoor or garage preferred, backyard setup available if there is no wind), or a natural lighting outdoor sunset shoot.
Dogs have their own personalities, as you know. Not every dog will cooperate the same for portraits, some take time to warm up, and some are afraid of the lights. Let’s discuss your dog’s temperament and decide on the best approach.
Get in the photo! You are welcome to be in the portraits, or just your dog(s) alone.
What to bring? Your pup’s favorite treats, favorite toy, favorite blanket, and anything else to make them happy and comfortable.
What others are saying
“I purchased gift cards for my brother’s kids whole first year milestone portraits, and then for my nieces kids. GVP Studios went to their homes for the newborn photos and set up a mobile studio, and then suggested some outdoor locations for their cake smash/birthday portraits. Many years later, I bought a dog portrait session for my Aunt and Parent’s dogs. All of these pictures are treasured by our family. We are so appreciative of the excellent service and amazing final product!”
studio vs in-home vs outdoor
In-Studio Photo Shoot – Best for dogs comfortable in new environments, responsive to treats and toys, and able to sit and follow commands. The controlled studio setting ensures perfect lighting and a distraction-free session for polished, posed portraits.
In-Home Mobile Photo Shoot – Ideal for dogs who feel most relaxed at home. We require enough indoor space to set up a backdrop and light stands, or we can shoot in your yard if the weather is calm (no wind). This option allows for familiar surroundings while achieving a studio-style look.
Outdoor Photo Shoot – Perfect for action shots and interactive moments in a natural setting. Great for energetic dogs who love to run, play, and explore. Expect a fun, movement-focused session with beautiful scenery in the background.
Memory artwork.
Put a smile on your face every day by making your favorite print into a beautiful piece of artwork for the wall.
